MAX Revises Fixed Routes to Address Increased Ridership Needs

Due to sharp increases in ridership and heavy boardings at some bus stops during peak hours, some routes are experiencing delays in arriving back at the Padnos Center. These delays then delay all eight buses from leaving the Padnos Center at the top of the hour.
 
To ensure that our routes continue to operate on a 50-minute schedule, revisions to Routes 1, 2 and 4 are necessary.  These minor revisions include shortening the traveled route by closing or moving some bus stops and traveling along main thoroughfares without entering complexes. These route revisions will allow us to operate efficiently and maintain on-time performance while still serving our passengers.
 
Customers can review these changes online, at the Padnos Center office, or on the fixed route buses. Questions regarding these revisions may be submitted several ways:

  • Completing a Compliment/Complaint form on the bus and giving it to a bus operator
