The MAX Team is excited to announce that Fixed Routes 1-8 will resume on March 1. Routes 9, 10 & 11 will not re-open at this time. All rides will remain free of charge until further notice.
Due to limited seating of 20 passengers per bus on routes, we are limiting trips to work, medical appointments (COVID-19 vaccination appointments) and to the store for needed supplies. There could be a delay of service at the stops, so please dress warm and allow extra time to get to your destination. If you see a red sign that says FULL in the driver’s window, the bus will pass the stop and our dispatcher will be notified to send another vehicle to pick you up.
MAX will resume fixed route service beginning March 1. While routes 1 through 8 will re-open, routes 9, 10 & 11 will not resume until further notice. The fixed route service will run Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with no Saturday service, and will have a seating capacity of 20 passengers per bus. Due to seating limitations, passengers may want to anticipate delays in service and plan their trip accordingly. MAX is also limiting trips to those going to and from work, medical appointments, including COVID-19 vaccine appointments, and the grocery store for supplies.
Our Reserve-A-MAX service will continue to be scheduling limited trips only to work, medical appointments and grocery store with a limited seating capacity of 6 passengers per bus. Saturday service will continue to be for those going to and from work or dialysis.
Since the fixed routes will resume on March 1, only ADA card holders, seniors over 70 years of age, those that are farther than a half mile to the closest bus stop for either their pick up or drop off location may reserve a trip on the demand response Reserve-A-MAX service. Please schedule your work or medical appointment ride a week ahead if possible, and before 4:00 p.m. the day before your trip. Grocery trips can only be scheduled one day in advance.
